About the Project

The City of Newman has received a Caltrans Sustainable Communities Grant to address the people’s experience of travel corridors in Newman along Hardin Road, T Street, Yolo Street, Inyo Avenue, and Canal School Road north to Hills Ferry Road. These corridors provide critical connections to neighborhoods and schools, and the planning effort will focus on ways to improve people’s travel experience while using them. The resulting plan will include ideas and concepts to improve safety, experience, and connectivity between schools, parks, and shops around Newman.

To help the City develop the T Street Corridors Improvement and Multi-Benefit Community Connectivity Plan CivicWell, Toole Design and Opticos will connect with residents and community members to imagine what is possible.
